Anita & Drew

We're getting married!

We can't wait to celebrate our special day with you. We've created this page as a convenient way to share all of the important details with you in the lead up to our wedding.

Our Story

Anita and Drew met on the apps, but by chance happened to be neighbors. They went on their first date on a sunny spring day in early February of 2024, walking along a pedestrian path through south Davis. By the end of the date, Anita had already invited Drew for a bike ride to the farmers' market the next day.

Fast forward just a few weeks, the two had already fallen in love with one another and were feeling all the exciting warm and fuzzy feelings that come at the start of a partnership. (Anita proudly maintains that she dropped the first "I love you" of the relationship.) The two have proceeded to spend nearly every moment together that they could. They moved into a cute little apartment near downtown Davis a few months later, where they now live with three(!) lovely dogs and one loud cat.

Our Proposal

Drew planned a whole special day for Anita and himself. They walked in the rain, got manicures together, and went out for Anita's favorite takeout. Later in the afternoon, with the excuse of "just taking the dogs out," Drew took Anita to Walnut Park, where they had walked together on their first date and where they had taken their dogs together when they were neighbors.

After a few minutes of letting the pups run around, Drew nervously got down on one knee to ask Anita to marry him. Anita said "yes" before either of them realized that Drew had forgotten to actually take out the ring he had been carrying in his pocket all day! So Drew knelt down again and proposed a second time. Anita still said yes.
